Now that HRBlock has picked up the AT Home registered trademark to replace the TaxCut trademark, there will be some confusion over the next few years on product branding.

It's my understanding that H&R Block wanted to more closely relate their tax software to the H&R Block brand rather than the TaxCut trademark.

Adding the AT Home logo to me is not a great move for SEO purposes since it is part of a common phrase, and not search engine friendly toward their tax products.

I'm really surprised their wasn't more effort to uniquely identify their products with a unique trademark that is not part of a common phrase like TaxCut was, and At Home, is.

When you type TurboTax into a search engine, that's what you get. When you type TaxCut or At Home into a search, you get anything and everything. Truly not a good move for Search Engine Optimization.

I wouldn't be surprised to see H&R Block making another go at a name change again in the next several years. At this point I feel it would be a wise choice to come up with something more unique as soon as possible!
